If condititions haven't changed in the last couple weeks, I had a couple fun days in the river just down from the outlet of UL. It's not ice fishing, but if you park in the lot by the Pumphouse with the big cottonwood tree and follow the river down a couple hundred yards there are some spots.
The river is way down, but the hot springs keep it warm. Up by the lot, it's too warm for the fish, like bathtub warm. Walk down and the water cools some, but is very low. We caught tons of bluegill one trip, some keepers, tons of small crappie the next, one keeper. Also several WB, a couple keepers, to y walleye, perch, and caught variety each time. Anywhere the water was a couple feet deep or more.
Jigs, worms, waxies, ice flies, and a small spinner all worked.
