Yup that is the big trade off ease of landing fish or reaching the motor. i figured I'd be driving more than landing fish, you probably catch more fish than have to steer... Hope I end up catching enough fish that I rethink the motor location.... I do know my motor location does make it more difficult to enter and exit the toon, probably the biggest drawback I've ran into so far... On steep banks my design has issues, but shallow slopes aren't bad to step over the bar... I haven't used fins with the motor and new configuration... I sure would like to go try this set up and see how it does on some of my favorite spots, but I have company this week, so I guess I'll be in the boat if I make it out, but I need to get it go'en too...Later J
