Where did the fish break you off? Was it at a knot or the tippet? On the Webe there are enough big fish and the water is never crystal clear that heaver line is worth using. Wouldn't be afraid to use 3 or 4 x subsurface if breakoffs are an issue. Even 26 inch trout don't just snap that thicker stuff.
