The Beaver River property probable has about a half mile of river vs a 100 yards tops for those properties. Plus those properties are almost certainly a lot more expensive than what the SITLA land will go for. Access does look to be a bit of an issue but probable doable. All the rich folk will buy up the access to close streams and we might be forced to drive 3 hours to fish before too long if we don't get our access back. I'll probable just move out of Utah if it appears my American rights are seized permanently here.
I hear what you are saying, but strangely enough, I'm cautiously optimistic about the stream access battle. The "land grab" the state is trying to pull off would be worse, but I think we overestimate the states chances of success in the endeavor, especially with nitwits like Swallow leading the judicial charge. We may be OK for our lifetimes at least. Now, our kids opportunities at public fishing could be a different matter.
