RMA & Strawberry anglers.
#2
I am not a card carrying member of RMA any more but I'm still on their e-mail list. I recognize every one of their members when they do a project that gets air time on the Doug Miller show. I must say, I actually feel guilty not being a member and participating in their very worthwhile projects. They are a great bunch of guys with a lot of understanding about the fish habitat of our state waters. The club meetings that I went to always had a guest speaker who either worked for the DWR or had quite a passion for fishing. If a person wanted to learn a whole lot about our state fisheries and their habitat and wanted to help out with worthy volunteer work, this is the club to join. They meet in a lodge in Midvile (a kind of a long drive for me and no one to car-pool with). They have several (I guess about 6) official tournaments a year. They put on several annual events such as the annual walleye seminar at the federal building in SLC. Oh, and by the way, those guys are REALLY good at fishing. Walleye seem to be their specialty and passion.
