Wax worms was what the fish wanted. I used several different lures but all of them needed to be tipped with a waxie in order to get any attention.
Color wasn't even a factor.
The fish were very active and would hit anything.
In my opinion, presentation is more important than type or color of lure right now.
You must fish the very bottom of the reservoir for the Perch. Most of the Gills were also concentrated on the bottom. Find water that is over 10' deep for Perch at Mantua.
A little light jigging was very effective when the action started to slow down at mid day.
