Mantua Ice???

Educated for sure. Fish are always hungry but if a jig causes pain they'll remember that for a good amount of time. Especially lmb. Once released it will be months if not years before they will bite something similar again. Some will never bite a lure ever again. Perch and bluegill are dumber but not too much dumber. lol Even the stupidest fish learns eventually lol. There's a ton of catch and release pressure unfortunately these days. Some people hook as many as they can for hours at a time they don't stop at 50 perch or 4 for trout, they keep educating and educating. Then they wonder why fish don't bite anymore lol. It would be great if there were limits set on catch and release. Same limits as for keeping fish but of course it would be impossible to enforce lol.
