Another funny thing that we old-timers remember are the signs on the shores of Deer Creek that said something like "please don't litter the shore with perch". Back then, perch were certainly considered to be trash fish, and people would just toss them into the sagebrush rather than back into the lake. Really! EAT A PERCH? ARE YOU KIDDING? THEY"RE BONY! [
