First of all the ice near the boat ramp is still very dangerous! I drilled many test holes some of them where at 2 1/2" others were 1 inch. So we decided not to risk it. Some people who followed us said it was better yesterday so the ice is deteriorating again.
We decided to try near the gest docks. The ice was 5" in that area and much more stable. We started out about 30 yards in front of the docks. Steelfisher limited quickly and the rest of us got a few here and there. Then a group of guys got into them thick in some other holes nearby so when they left we jumped into their spots and limited quickly.
This is a strange year for the ice I can't believe the boat ramp area is still bad.
