I don't know how many of you are like me, but I always count the beginning of soft water as the new (fishing)year. Hear is my list of things I hope too do, and in many cases, need to do in order to feel like I'm taking advantage of this amazing life.
Sit on a rock at Willard bay in a rain (sleet/snow) storm until two in the morning so I can catch enough walley(2)for tacos.
Reading tubetudes march/april lincoln beach posts wondering how in the hell that old man catches so many more catfish than me.
Cast Clausers to spawning/guarding crappie, bass, and stripers at the most beautiful lake on earth.
Have a lakeshore BBQ featuring my mom's famous Cajun lemon marinade and American Falls trout fillets that take up a whole grill.
Cast sofa pillows over the 4th to hungry salt river browns and cutties on my inlaws wy ranch.
Lay awake all night at the end of October in a cold sweat, anticipating watching big Lakers chase my tube jig around the finder.
Watching my fish finder for 14 hours straight and daydreaming about sitting on a rock at Willard Bay.[
