First Fish Cat float tube
#34
Hello, new member here, first post. This is my first "v" tube. Is that a correct term for the Fish cat?

I have not sat in the boat in water, only on land. Does this make a big difference when determining seat "taco". That occurs during fishing?

Does the foam seat and air bladder seat taco the same??
I miss this when I first read your post.

Yes, it makes a HUGE difference in the seat if you are just sitting in it on land.

If your foam is the correct size, put in the right way, and the pocket is also correct, then when you take it on the water it will probably be just fine. Test it before you adjust too much.

You may be worrying about a problem that doesn't really exist. Try the tube out on the water with the regular foam (correct install) and see how it does with you. I think that you will find that it works okay. You can always take your shims and add them if you want, but you might make your seat harder than you want for comfort.

Good luck and let us know how the maiden voyage goes.
