First Fish Cat float tube
#44
[#0000FF]I have no personal experience with the ODC inflatable seats. But I have had three Super Fat Cats with the inflatable. The first one was literally a pain in the backside. It kept developing pinhole leaks at the junctions of the corrugations...as you can see in the attached pics...with Aquaseal patches on every corner. I would just get one repaired and the seat would go flat on me again on my next trip. Finally got a replacement...of a new design...and it worked better.

But one of the new SFCs I got had a defective lower seat and it split a seam. Again, got a replacement from Outcast and never had another problem. Still using one of the newer models in one tube and it has held up well.

I think Pon is an ODC man and he made reference to some seat separation problems on his. Maybe he will chime in.

Like many tubers, I prefer large flexible divers' fins. I use the Mares Plana fins but there are a lot of them that are suitable. Just balance the size and flex to your body size and strength, and the type of tubing you do. Like other aspects of tubing there is no one size fits all or universal model that works for everybody equally.

As suggested, you will get more efficient propulsion with your V craft than with a round or U tube.
