Tubdude, have you by chance considered, somehow adding a set of oar locks to a fat cat? Or completed such a conversion?
I watched a youtube video of some asian fishermen that one of which had a set of oars mounted on his Cumberland float tube. Looked to be a factory install. The oars stowed on the outside of the bladders, parallel to the water. When needed, the oars unclipped at the paddle end, the handle end was inside the oar lock and ready for use.
During windy conditions, from what I recall when out in a belly boat or u tube. Oars, would be handy. Or, I have also considered having a fold down kyak paddle on board.
Does anyone use a kyak paddly, oars......or something else for windy conditions when tubing?
