I am revisiting some thoughts concerning the seat foam in the fish cat. For clarification, Tubedude had written (some time ago) that the two piece seat foam, would fit width wize into the seat box of a fish cat or fat cat (same seat box dimensions). In either of the 17 3/4" or 19 3/8" dimensions.
When I watched the Outcast seat foam installation video on youtube. It is clear, the 17 3/4 width (correct seam orientation) is such a snug fit. That the 19 3/8" seat foam measurement should not fit at all. Unless, the seat box height is the reason for the tight fit, not the width.
The video shows the foam width being tight. But another member mentioned the seat foam should be tight in thickness (pillow effect) inside the seat box.
Why would the foam fit in the seat box sideways, in either dimension?
How important is it, that the seat foam fills the seat box height?
