Sorry I missed this.
I'm not too sure about the mileage. When the snow was up to my knees, we'll call it 20 miles.[laugh]
When I was actually moving at a steady pace, it was easier to believe it was a little over a mile. Probably a tad more, from all the added steps of weaving between aspens and navigating around dead-fall.
The hike in, during the summer, would likely only take me about 25-35 minutes.
The hike out was a lot worse, somehow. More uphill trudging for the exit.
