How do you rig your planer board up? I set mine up so I use a separate line to the board and then I just clip into it with a down rigger release so when I get a bite it releases and leaves me to fight the fish alone without having to fight the planer board too... Those fish at the pig wouldn't be any fun at all if you have to drag the planer in with them... I seen there were several options how to set up the planer when I first got mine, and I knew most of the fish I play with are too small so I set it up this way and it seems to work pretty well... I'd sometimes like a softer release on my release, but I've been too cheap to put a nice DR release on the planer board, maybe if I used it more, I'd change my mind.... Glad you got them going at the gorge.... I'd sure love to go get a few down there they are great fish... Later J
