Best time to fish deer Creek is after dark throwing crank baits and plastics along the shore line and around the island if there is an island this year. I have picked up some nice eyes, SMB and both brown and rainbow trout in the past. When I fished it, I would head out just before dark and fish until midnight or so depending upon the bite. A walleye strike on say a perchscale shadrap will deffinately wake you up as they seem to like to follow the bait up to the boat and hit it just before you are ready to lift your bait out of the water. Good times especially on full moon nights. [fishin]
