I fished Electric Lake today from 7:30 until 3:00 using fly tackle (as usual). I drove as far as I could past the boat ramp and launched there. I fished down as far as coal canyon using a fast sinking line and size 6-8 bead head soft hackles in black/green, tan/green/pearl, and tan/brown. I used bead head leeches in olive and Canada blood. I was trying to get a kokanee or two but no luck with that. I ended up catching 25% cutthroats and 75% tigers. The cutthroats were 13"-16" and the tigers were 11"- 17". There were some folks in three different boats that were trolling but they spent most of their time down near the dam. The reservoir level is 63% full and dropping. The water temperature was 61-63 degrees and visibility was about 7' in the water. It was a good day to be on the water but I might have to bring a respirator next time for all the smoke. []
