Just thinking about fishing for Kokanee

You really can't, you just have to get lucky. The way I target kokanee threw the ice is to fish in locations where I've caught them before, then you just hope they come by. Some times they will, especially in smaller lakes but in bigger lakes like Strawberry and The Gorge, it is very tough and the odds are against you.
