I use 1 1/2 Oz. out of the front of the boat and my son uses 1 oz. out of the back. I usually troll from .8 to 1.2 MPH with my bow mount. The size weight also depends on the depth I'm fishing. The general rule of thumb is to keep your line at a 45 degree angle from the water, but there is variables to that if you are trolling over brush or weeds I use a heavier weight maybe up to 4 oz. and troll with my bouncer angle straight down just so i'm ticking the top of the brush or weeds with it.
