[#0000FF]I'll be doing another shakedown cruise with my new red ride tomorrow, at the north marina. Will post a report before the end of the day.
In years past there has been good cattin' about this time from several spots around the lake. The SW corner is often good both for cats and wipers. And right inside the north marina can also be good for both with the water levels up.
It can also be pretty good fishing off the points of the channel entrance at the south marina. The problem this year is that there is so much brush between the channel and the shoreline...grew up during the low water years. If you hook a fish you have to manhandle it to the surface and water ski it to the net.
Another good spot in years past has been the area on either side of the corner at the light pole...in the NE corner of the lake. The depth drops off fairly quickly and if you can survive the rutted roads around the west dike...and the mosquitoes...you can sometimes get some good action.
