Fishing with kids
#1
I am considering taking a couple of my kids fishing in the next couple of weeks. I haven’t fished in a couple years due to recovering from a broken ankle last summer and haven’t been out yet this year. We don’t own a boat so we would be fishing from shore. I was thinking of either going to Smith and Morehouse or Strawberry. Any suggestions that can help out?

I believe your odds of catching some fish would be better at Smith and Morehouse.

I also second Smith and Morehouse. A friend of mine just returned from there and said they caught a bunch of fish. Not much size to them, recently planted rainbows, but he said it was fun.

Let me add a third yes to SM. Its has treated fishermen and women well lately. Its does get crowded on the weekends - just a fair warning, but so does the berry. I also can recommend the streams up 150 in the Uintas. Crowds are less and they can be a great option this time of year.

Bring the bug spray - tis the season

Thank you all for the replies. I will look at making a trip up to Smith and Morehouse in the next couple of weeks.
