I made a couple trips out of the south marina this week. Tuesday morning I was on the water by 8 AM and left for a Dr appt at 10:30. Bodybcount was 10 kitties that morning all caught dragging and drifting marinated chicken just outside of the marina and then through the Feedlot. TDs silver/blue flig on one rod and a Santee rig on the second. Both worked well. Wednesday afternoon I was on the water at 2 PM and left for dinner about 5 PM. Much the same results in both locations using the same rigs.

Larry, I was on Willard yesterday from about 730 to 1130. I drifted out from the feed lot. Very slow drift in almost dead calm water. Was having a repeated text conversation with the wife and missed several hit and runs.
Did manage to boat and release 1 cookie cutter kitty before I left. I was the first and only boat on the water from launch time to about 8:30, and don't think there were more than 10 or 12 rigs in the parking lot when I left.

I am curious, did you make your own santee rigs or are they some of the prerigged ones
Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew

Recently added rattles and sinker slides. Both seem to help a little. (09-24-2020, 06:44 PM)doitall5000 Wrote: Ok would you let the cat out?? What's the chicken marinade?? That woman and her lawyer were so mean it's in the divorce decree that of i ever share that recipe my alimony goes up $75 a month. Guess I should have gotten my own lawyer. It can be pretty hit and miss especially when it's calm. .5 MPH seems to be the sweet spot for me and it takes some searching to find the right water depth. Larry

There were two tubers fishing near the mouth when we headed out. I havent fished it since the end of July. We had a pretty slow afternoon only 2 cats boated and a couple lost. We fished the west side and around the island. |
