I started this writeup several years ago. But fishing with BearLakeFishGuy last Wednesday, we started talking about all of the things we did to change things up when the fish were being finicky...fish triggers. So I dug up my initial writeup, did some rewriting and added some fish porn. Hope it helps.
I always gotta laugh when non-anglers, newbies or other dimbulbs protest that sonar gives fishermen an unfair advantage. Sure, it helps find the fish...but often it serves more to frustrate the anglers who can't get the fish to cooperate. However, it can help you as you work through the tricks in your arsenal to try to find something they will vote for.
PS...This is open for everybody to post their own pet tricks and top secrets. Caring and sharing.

Great stuff Pat. I too have forgotten methods that has worked in the past. I tend to fish mostly the same place same time of day and have favorite methods for that particular water. And get pretty stubborn at times when what usually works but isnt. I need to remember the methods that has worked in the past and employ them. Thanks for reminding me .

As always, excellent detailed write-up with great photos. This is a great reminder of the wide variety and variation of lures and presentations. We often get stuck in a rut with what we think works best and don't change things up. Thanks!!!

Thanks for sharing the knowledge, sometimes we forget what we’ve already learned while chasing the next lesson. It’s good to review what I knew and read some of the new stuff in your epistle.
