Willard ice condition
#1
I was wondering if anyone fished at Willard Bay can give a current ice condition and a fishing report?

Thanks.

Thanks.

I tried 2 weeks ago to get out in the channel, away from the mouth at the north marina. I didn't make it quite to the main lake. The ice then went from 3 inches to 2 inches best real quick.  With warm temps, the only "safe" ice might be on the south to southwest dike. No ice is ever safe. If you go be careful.

Thanks for the info, did you get into any crappie/perch?

No and no. Only made it out to 8ft of water. I am thinking if there are any fish there, they will be out farther than I could get out. Plus I only gave it half an hour.

Dubob did a drive by the North marina at the end of last week and there was open water at the ramp, you can see his post with pics. I won't be fishing there until it gets a lot colder.
