Scofield 11/21 - great day of fishing

I got an invite to hit Scofield on a Monday and I am glad I skipped out on work. Had one of the best days on the ice!

There were three of us in the tent each fishing 2 rods. We had several tangles especially when getting doubled up. It was a bit chaotic between 9am and 11:30am. It slowed down after that but not terribly.

We took a break around 1pm to grab a burger from KJ’s. Fished again until 5:00, it was slower in the afternoon but still fun. We lost count along the way so I won’t speculate. 

the photo with me and the white but in my mouth was a fun one. Had an in-line reel foul but line was in the water. Fish started taking my line while I was dealing with the loops, so I hand reeled it in. 

Most fish were caught in 15 fow on untipped white tube jigs. We caught them all through the column, but most were near the bottom dead sticking. 

I know this is a late report but wanted to share anyway.

Jjannie, We had about 6" of ice that day but you could hear it growing.
