We caught trout up to 18", perch and even a SM bass. Those bows are some pretty trout and wow, a number of them acted like Kokes, when they would go airborne.
Seems like the bigger bows were toward the back and the smaller ones, 12" or smaller, were closer to the dam. About 9 boats out there today, 41 degrees air temp when we arrived around 7:30 am. Water temps were 61 when we arrive and got up to 65 by the time we got off the water around 1:30 pm. Since we were there last year they have finished the fish cleaning station.

Echo has fished well for me this year. I've caught the same, bass, trout and perch but not elusive crappie. I've been trying to decide whether to fish Echo or Strawberry this Thursday. Hard not to go fishing with this great weather. The 41 degrees sounds better than my last trip up there it was 37.

Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew

Nice looking Rainbow you have pictured. Eight of that size in the smoker would make me happy.
How is the hike up the ramp to the parking area?
I have been thinking of all the Res. we have around us and can only wonder if this new leg and I could make it up the hill.

Very nice report. Yes those bows are very nice. I caught most of mine mid-late, but all were up within 20 ft of the surface. Did you find the same or were they deeper? Sorry again for not seeing your question earler on where the perch were biting when I was up there.

The hike up the ramp wasn't bad, I've see it a lot longer, when the lake was low. We did notice that at least one guy parked at the bottom, just off the side of the ramp, in the dirt. I've seen many folks park in that area, off the ramp like that, while we were ice fishing. As you drive down the ramp, there are big rocks on either side but just as you get to the bottom, on the right side, those big rocks aren't there and it appears the guy that was parked there, drove through that spot and parked his truck and trailer there. Hope that helps Richard.

Thanks. We also caught them less than 20' deep, we were using lead core, with 2 colors out and later 3 colors out. We used side planers out the side and we ran lures that dove 8 to 12'. We did mark some fish down 50', near the dam but they were deeper than we could get without downriggers.

The temps were cooler, as we drove up, saw it at 39, just before we got off the freeway but once we got to the ramp, it was a little warmer. Good luck, where ever you end up going.
