Invasive Golden Mussel
#1
As if we don't have enough issues with the spread of invasive species in our lakes, California is invaded with a different mussel which could spread here. My son text me last night that Lake Camanche which is located about 40 minutes east of Sacramento has found the Golden Mussel. The boat ramp has been temporarily closed. I used to frequent this lake when I lived in Sacramento. The article I posted shows approx. 10 other sites infested.

It's always something, never something good with these invasive species.

Looks like AIS regulations are here to stay with Quaga and Zebra mussel infestations to the north, east and south including Lake Powell and now Golden Mussel infestation in California. We're completely surrounded by mussely waters!

It's going to get to where you'll have to have a boat inspected before launching.

I'm just waiting for Cali to fall into the ocean on the next big quake and do us all a favor. Politics, crime, taxes, laws, and AIS.
