Two Pole license question
#1
I heard a rumor that DWR passed this thing at a recent RAC meeting, and I tried to find this information on the DWR site and there was none...

Is it true that 2 pole licenses are honored at all Utah waters? When does this go into effect?

Thanks for helping me get updated!

I am excited about this change, and have always wanted to use two poles at Deer Creek (this saturday hopefully...)

Goes into effect on January 1, 2007. One must also purchase a second pole permit.

And the second pole permit will also be a 365 day deal.

The new rules go into effect Jan 1 2007 as has already been posted but I have a question about kids. Will kids under 12 have to buy a second pole permit or will they just need to be with someone who has one? Wish I would have thought of the question at the RAC meeting but not that quick I guess.

It's not likely they will let kids fish with a second pole without buying the two pole permit, it's all about the money but I don't know that for sure. WH2

[#008058][Wink]The two poll permit goes into effect JAn 01, I also talked to the ranger at willard and most lakes in Utah at this time and always did allow two polls as long as you had the $15.00 two poll permit along with your 1st permit, I have fished with a two poll permit for quite some time, there is only a few lakes or res that at this time do not allow (rock port does not allow, But wilard, berry, east canyon does) it but most do at this time also.[/#008058]

Um, I don't think Strawberry or East Canyon do at this time. Better double check the proc.

FisnNCoach, you better get aquainted with the current Fishing Proclamation (see page 7) -- Strawberry and East Canyon do not allow a Second Pole. A more correct statement is, until January 1, 2007 there are only a few lakes or reservoirs that do allow a Second Pole.
