Got my H3 Freestyle yesterday

UPS showed up late yesterday with my H3 Freestyle and I must say that it is AWESOME!! My wife said she didn't know it was THAT BIG:o) Waiting on my Fishin Buddy to arrive but am going to fish Upper Otay this Sunday with or without it. Should be FUN. I may try to get my side rod holder/sonar mount fabricated on Saturday. My H3 isn't red and blue like all the pictures I've seen. It is red and black only.

Congrats on your new toy. Hope it proves to be all you expect. Tubing is an excellent sport and a deadly way to fish. You're starting out with a great piece of equipment.

Yours should also have the smooth coated material, does it?

Yes. My H3 has the same material top and bottom (black on the bottom/red on top). Now if I can only figure out how to attach the apron!

Which apron did you get. The half circle or a regular rectangle?

I got the big rectangular one, I think:o) It's semi rigid in the front and has 4 velcro straps
(one at each corner). It is kinda curved outward on the rear side that will face me when
I'm in the boat. I should be able to figure it out when I get home this afternoon. UPS
showed up around 18:30 and I didn't have much time to mess around with it since I go to
bed pretty early. You might find this comical, BUT I woke up around 12:30 AM and went
downstairs and was looking at it (I had laid it on the living room sofa) and HAD to go
ahead and inflate it. My daughter told me I was NUTS for being up and messing around
with it in the middle of the night! the 2 way pump I bought from NFO worked great and
the H3 looks even more impressive all inflated!

[#103910]I would not call being up at the wee hours of the morning so you can look and play with a new inflatable pontoon crazy..... excited over a new toy .. maybe.. sleepless over a new inflatable toy.. maybe.. maniac fisherman with a new float toy... maybe.. but definately NOT CRAZY..[sly]

Not a great picture of the apron, but sounds like the same one you got.



You undo the velcro from the front and look for some "D" to hook it to. Like you said, you will figure it out, but the good news is, most the H3 didn't come with aprons.

Hey FG, when you going to get Dave to cut me a deal on an apron for all the good publicity I give him on this site.. hehehe No that is a good pic of your Nav II though. Have you got a red one and a blue one? Cause I know I am punch drunk form working over 2 weeks straight but I thought last time we went out it was blue.
