Harvesting Fish
#1
Thgere is an article in the explore today about overpopulation of fish and it gives a list of bodies of water the DWR wants the fisherman to keep the fish. It was interesting. The website is www.standard.net/xplore.html.

No, kidding, I wish the walleye in Starvation, Deer Creek and Utah lake were as easy to find and catch as they were in YUBA before it crashed, I seem to be able to find one or two but not the numbers and size I was getting out of YUBA. guess I need to keep trying and get those bodies of water down to a science. I would like to emphasize that when it says there is an over population of fish in the Strawberry River that is only referring to the BROWN TROUT not the Cutthroat which by my experience are quickly declining the past few years. I don't know why the DWR removed the catch and release only restrictions on the Cutts there but I would recommend that anyone who visits this beautiful river keep your limit of Browns but release all Cutthroat you catch.

Thanks,

FM
