Nice report Ron and very nice fish for 2 and 1/2 hours of fishing[cool]. If Scofield has melted that much, can the Berry be far behind?

well yesterday was the first time in the last 2 weeks we have been fishing there that we noticed the ice melting... before that i think the lake level had come up so the ice moved off shoure.. then when that last storm came through it re-iced only 1/2 thick but thats enuf to keep ya from fishing.. inless you good with rock's! lol
but yesterday we could tell the ice was melting fast! so if your asking me if the berry might be de-iceing soon i would have to yeah soon with the temp's we have been getting!..
here a pic of 4 days ago of scofields ice..

Great job, Ron!
Were you double poling it? Your picture from a few days ago looks like the rod is bending toward shore! Maybe I'll have to copy that technique to get your type of results![crazy]

By the looks of that cast you have some kind of thumb or scaphoid fracture. How did you manage that? Nice report Mr. Fuzz.

Yea, that is what I was thinking, If the ice has melted that much at Scofield, it must have melted even more at Strawberry[cool]

I have never know Strawberry to ice off before Scofield. Scofield is higher elevation but much smaller and shallower. In my experience Scofield ice's up before Strawberry and has ice off before Strawberry. Strawberry is still a couple weeks away from being ready to run the boat on full out without fear of floating ice.

Looks like a great day. I have a couple days off from work and school and was going to head up there on Saturday and Tuesday. I usually soak a worm and powerbait or minnows up there. I have never been up there this time of year, is that a good set-up?
