Custom rods are nice. I had a walleye rod made last year and I love it. I'll never buy a store bought rod again. It's like night and day difference. I traded the guy a web site for the rod. (Yeah I design web sites). You can check him out at http://www.raynbowrods.com He's located here in Michigan but he ships out of state. Highly recommended.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's funny Brian. I'm looking foward to trying that rod out. How did you do the patern on the rod anyhow? that's like phycodelic or something. [cool]

Haven't had a chance to try out the last rod you sent me. I'm plotting on buying another Okuma spinning reel for it.

That combination is Top Secret. I will tell you it is a four step process not including Epoxy. I can also tell you that it is pretty
much indestructible. So you don't need to be scared or anything like that.

We appreciate the kind words. We also now offer a wide range of
gift certificates, just in time for the holidays.

That is an unusual guide system for a flyrod.

Let me know if you are interested in someone to test your rods on a regular basis. I do fish everyday and fish all styles.

What kind of rod do you have that is indestructable?? Are they good for big fish?? I use an 11wt flyrod for 40 to 50 lb Halibut. I want to find the perfect setup for big fish on a light setup.[cool]

Well I am very confident that this rod could easily handle a 100 lb+
fish especially with an experienced angler. It was built using a vintage Ugly Stick fly rod blank with the addition of Fugi guides and
reel seat and medium profile hook keep. It also has a four stage custom paint job as well as being custom wrapped. It was made for
one of our sponsored anglers. You can see Bryan (Tarpon4me). As well as the rest of our sponsored anglers at www.bubbashotrods.com. and see some of the rods they received and some of there catch.

Then click on our events page and click on our logo in the upper right hand corner. It will take you to short bios on our sponsored anglers as well as photos of them and some of there catch. You might also want to view our photo galley. Check it out its free.

We will also keep you in mind when we take on a couple more sponsored angler. After the New Year , pass the word.

Good luck and Good Fishing and a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Sounds like a sturdy rod. I am going to fish some Bonefish and Wahoo in a couple of weeks.

I'm taking my 10wt and 11wt with me. Should be a blast.

I did sign in your guest book too.[cool]

I just got the fly rod in the mail yesterday, and it really is pretty wicked looking. It's got a paint job on it like i've never seen. Also, the picture of the rod tip posted above is a little misleading. That's not what the tip of the fly rod looks like, I think that was another rod he made with the same type of paint job. The fly rod I recieved is a standard fly rod set up, other than the fact it's nasty heavy duty. I'm going to have to buy a small winch for this thing. I really think it could actually handle a fish upwards of around 100 pounds. It's a nice set up for inshore saltwater fishing for things like tarpon and bonefish, or tease-casting for small sailfish.

Hey Brian, what kind of blank did you use?

Well, there are actually two seperate rods in these pictures. I actually created a special set of three rods. One for each of our
sponsored anglers. Sort of a Christmas present from us at
BubbasHotRods.com. Sorry for any confusion regarding the
tip. Each rod shares the same paint scheme and each rod has
a individual purpose. This year are guys had a great year fishing.
Each with there share of problems, but lets be honest is there
ever really a bad day fishing. You can view some of this years
catch by going to bubbashotrods.com and then clicking on our photo gallary. We appreciate everybody with there support.

re: to your weight request, I am pretty sure that would not be a problem. Unfortunatly with the Holidays it has been taking a little
bit longer to get stuff in. I can definately put some options and
numbers together for you and can have something for you after
the New Year.
