Biggest Halibut

What is the biggest halibut you have caught? mine was a 186 lbs but I know they get way bigger than that and was woundering if anyone has caught any big ones.

No hablibut on this side of the hill, I wish though. LOL The closest thing we've got over here on the east coast is a 5 pound summer flounder. Great eatting though, just doesn't have the poundage. [Tongue]

Yea but as well as it's good eating thats what you want to, I am trying to get up into Alaska again and go out on a trophy charter and catch me a 400 lber lol

My biggest one was from Alaska. 270 lbs and it was 4th place for the jackpot. Oh well! I guess I should catch a big one next time.[cool]

California Halibut are what I have fished for. Not those great big Pacific Halibut. Like the difference of a dog vs a horse.

I have a biggest of 32# and my son in the 2005
MDR Halibut Derby got a bigger 36# halibut

Great prizes are available and we have a big party
with a big raffle and awards party on Sunday in the
park in Marina Del Rey.

I submitted this fish for a IGFA Jr class record and it
was approved! Nice certificate for his wall!
