Grayling on the upper Bear river
#1
A friend of mine was fly fishing the upper bear last week end using a royal wuff. He said he caught a bunch of brook trout and cutts but the surprised came when he pulled in a 12 inch grayling[Smile]. He said he was fishing below the Steel water camp ground. Thats all the info I got from him but I was wondering if anyone else has ever caught any grayling on the upper bear before? WH2

I fished the still water fork of the bear (up past christmas meadows) a couple weeks ago... had a great day. I caught a grayling to my surprise as well. I caught five different types of fish out of that river... cuts, brooks, bows, whitefish (on dry flies!), and the grayling. It was great.

Thanks for the info, maybe that is where my friend was talking about[:/]. Sounds like you had a good day in that area also. I don't know if the DWR are stocking grayling in the rivers now but I had heard they were being stocked in lakes in that area. WH2
