Went up to the Moutain Green Exit yesterday to fish. The waterflows had gone from 50 cfs to 650 fps. A couple picking up rocks told me a fisherman almost drowned trying to get back across the river. They showed me a 20 ft. log that was caught below the bridge that almost hit him. Who controls the water? They are going to drown someone.

Real Time Data shows that Echo was shut off yesterday.
Displayed flows for 10/15 and 16 are at 1.2 cfs.

Look at Gateway. Where does the water come from?

I just emailed the USGS to find where the peak (650 CFS) Gateway water came from. When I receive a response I will post it.

The canal company that supplies our pressurized irrigation system started depressurizing the system on 10/15. I suspect they quit taking water out of the Weber at that point. It could have been a combination of shutting down that intake below Morgan while the flow from Echo was still at the level to supply it. That would have caused a head of water to move down the river with the flow behind it at a much higher level.
