then yes, I have caught them before.
They are the yellow strain of rainbows, and are becoming more popular in some of the lakes and ponds. Especially the "community" ponds for kids as they can see them. Kids really get excited when they catch them as they are pretty and different.

now that blue is just weird looking... almost like it was retouched with a photo editing program... Im afraid if I ever caught one of those Id seriously consider giving up drinking... :-)

true we do... but not blue trout.. :-)but then again I dont do a lot of ocean fishing ... too many things in that water that can eate me faster than I can get away.. LOL... ... plus that picture is a freshwater fish... wonder what is in that water that is making it become predominantly blue instead of rainbow.???

From what I've seen, read, and been told by people who have caught them, these are actually called "Lightning Trout", which are really just fancy rainbows.
