Easter willard eyes
#1
Slept through my alarm today and got to the lake about 8:45, which sucks when I had to be home at noon. Managed one walleye bite and one actual walleye in the boat before I had to get off the lake at 11:00. The early spawners are well away from the shore and hungry. There were fish still spawning Tuesday night when I brought the flashlight and spotlighted a couple dozen Rollin on the shore. The fish today came on a large silver blade (crawler harness) at about .8 - .9 mph. Was on the west side in about 20 fow. Water temp was 51.9 when I got off the lake. Oh... The south marina is OPEN. I went last night and only caught one of the three hits. I was hoping to get more toothy critters, but such is life.

This morning was good for us as well. We were plagued by dink catfish though. As soon as we stopped getting hit by the cats a Walleye would show up. Water temps were 50's. Might be a second spawn this year, or a long spawn... Nice to see all the shad on the finder after a long winter.
